Description
The lead base roof flashing is a terminal element designed to divert rainwater and prevent leaks where the chimney system passes through the roof or slab.
For proper operation, the inclined flashing must be placed under the tiles on the upper slope and above the tiles on the lower slope.
Features
Materials used: stainless steel inox 304 ba (en 1.4301 - l20060), lead.
Thickness: 0.6 mm for 304 aisi (en 1.4307); lead 2.0 mm.
The flashing consists of three parts:
-
a lead sheet with a central hole, whose size varies depending on the selected diameter;
-
a conical band with a diameter larger than the nominal diameter of the passing flue module;
-
a conical collar placed immediately above the band to prevent water ingress.
Thanks to its geometry and material thickness, it adapts to roofs with slopes ranging from 5° to 30° (10% to 35%).
Applications
Used at the point where the chimney system passes through the roof or slab, acting as a joint element between the building’s roof and the flue system.
Should be installed on roofs with a slope between 10% (≈5°) and 35% (≈20°).
Unlike traditional steel flashings, due to the ductility of lead, the sheet can easily conform to any surface, making it especially suitable for roofs made with insulated panels or “coppo” clay tiles.
