Accumulation tanks MINDREKS METALL
What are heating storage tanks and what are their main functions
- The heat accumulator is a container covered with thermal insulation, with a thermos-like effect, which is attached to any wood or solid fuel heating boiler and is installed mainly in private houses. When periodically heating the boiler, the battery in the room (building) provides heating in between.
- The battery works on the principle of heat accumulation. The hot water cools down, giving off a certain amount of heat as it flows through the system. The battery stores heat, but does not produce it. In order to be able to accumulate a sufficient amount of heat, the battery must be of a large size. The battery gives off heat as it continuously cools down. When the heating boiler is not heated, heat is supplied by radiators or other heating elements, receiving water every moment, the temperature of which drops.
- Firewood contains a lot of different substances, including tar, acids, etc., which are released when the firewood heats up. In order to ensure high-quality combustion of all these substances and to reduce the corrosion of the metal of the hearth, the boiler should always work at full capacity, which can be achieved by installing capacious heat accumulators.
- When operating the heating boiler at full capacity, contrary to popular opinion, fuel savings of up to 20% are obtained. Reasonable: if the boiler is working at full power, all the volatile substances released from the firewood are completely burned and return heat to the water. During roasting, the substances evaporate in the chimney and disappear.
