Description
The stainless steel skirt is an accessory that is positioned at the end of a flue or chimney system. Its function is to prevent the entry of rainwater.
Features
• Materials Used: Stainless Steel 304 BA (EN 1.4301 - L20), Stainless Steel 316 BA (EN 1.4404 - L50)
• Thicknesses: 0.6 mm for the 304 AISI type (EN 1.4301), only 0.5 mm for the 316 AISI type (EN 1.4404).
• The skirt is made up of three elements:
- a Base, drilled in the center and of variable size depending on the diameter chosen;
- an Apron, a conical band with a diameter greater than the nominal diameter of the linear module that passes through it, punched at the Base.
- a Conical Collar, which is positioned on the linear module, immediately above the apron, and has the function of preventing the entry of rainwater.
Applications
• Its use is foreseen at the point where the system intersects a roof, therefore it represents a junction element between the roof of the building and the Smoke Channel or Chimney System.
• The slope must be used on flat roofs.
